All the Feels :: Free Download

  • green and lush and full of hope, vitality and growth and all the lovely, lively things
  • dark and gloomy and the harder, heavier things weigh heavy upon us
  • bright and yellow and orange and full of joy and playfulness
  • rainbow days full of highs and lows and all the colorful hues of real life…
  • and the Lilypad blog hop is celebrating and exploring All The Feels in a collection designed just for National Scrapbook Day 2017. 

Yes…that’s right!  (and Yay and Hooray!) The Hullaballoo has commenced. The Lilypad Designers have created a fresh series of free downloads to kick of this year’s {inter}National Scrapbook Day festivities!  And so you may have found your way here from Leah’s blog as you hop along collecting these fun and fabulous bits.

As for me, as a person who has always been driven to explore and embrace AND instead of OR…I was inspired by the definitions and captions and adjectives, story-centric bits that play in to this colorful mosaic of “All the Feels”.  Here’s a free selection of pocket cards.  So hope you enjoy!

Digital Scrapbooking Day 2016 :: The Happenings

Happy Happy {inter} National Digital Scrapbooking Day weekend!!

Celebrating in October for the first time, which is new (and FABULOUS).  And still…

It’s the usual refrain and I still love it as much and as deeply as I did when I first began scrapbooking many many moons ago.  No matter what Stories we are living and writing, the Art of Remembering them is so dear to my heart.

I so love this time of year when those of us who love to make memories and keep them, play with paper or pen, document our stories and explore our creativity get to have so much fun celebrating our love for scrapbooking and storytelling.

And DSD is a little extra special to me because it celebrates all my memory keeping loves in the digital medium, which is where the seeds for my own storytelling really germinated.

And so I enthusiastically exclaim many “Happy Happy”s as we Storytellers, we Memory Keepers, we Family Historians, we Documentarians and Curators, we Artists and Journalers celebrate our love for scrapbooking and storytelling.

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. 

These are words I’ve long loved because they capture the beautiful vulnerability that lives in deep love between people.  It IS brave to give yourself so completely to another. And being loved in that way in return DOES strengthen us as we grow in the safety and security of that love. These words capture so poetically the *rarity* of this kind of love.

And it seemed the perfect choice for this day, my anniversary with my love.

Ohhh this quote speaks to my heart for focusing on the Good Things when I’m feeling weary or blue or otherwise just full of life’s other noise. The sunshine, both literally and figuratively, is such a warming balm for the soul. The shadows fall behind us when we keep our face to the sun. Always.
