Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend filled with all things sunny and fun!

And I hope you have been enjoying the first couple of prompts for Grow With Love: Kids edition as we continue to set the foundation for the course of the project.  We have love loved seeing your pages so far!  And we hope you continue to share your pages in the comments for each day as you complete them.  It’s so inspiring to see how each of you scraps from the heart for your kiddos!

If you’re just joining us, welcome!  There is still lots of time to dive in and you can hop in anytime along the way!  If you need to catch up on the organizational posts (backstory, schedule, giveaway/prize details and such) feel free to check out the first post to capture all that information.

So far we have considered our general feelings about parenthood and how they may have changed over time, we’ve looked at the origins of our child(ren)’s name(s).  And today with Day Three we get to dive into something playful and fun!

I fly right back to elementary school with this one (I always loved activities like this in school!  but that could be my inner geek talking).  I think you’ll find this playful and light-hearted prompt can emerge as one your child(ren) will really love.  And there’s lots of room to let your creativity soar!  This prompt really lends itself to having a fantastic play with alphas and elements, as you scrap their personalities in words and colors.

I really had fun considering my Bugga’s personality and traits in a succint adjective-heavy kind of list.  I can’t resist playing with paper, so I made little shapes with the letters of her name cut out and surrounded them with words that describe her.

I love Crystal’s composition for her pages with the acrostic below the prominent photos.  Since she has three children and wanted each to have their own page, she opted to use the same basic design but tweak the colors and elements of each to really reflect their personalities.  Clever!!

Hope you have just as much fun playing with names and descriptives!  We can’t wait to see your pages!

And don’t forget to hop over to Crystal’s blog Thursday for day four for another little something fun before we start to dive into a little meatier territory.

Happy Scrapping!!
