When it comes to sitting down and doing your journaling what do you find is the hardest thing? Is it thinking of what to scrap? finding photos to match..etc.

For me it's the POV in the storytelling. I am not always sure who should be telling the story..so I always just make it mine. I wonder if I should do it differently at times?

I wonder about that too. Sometimes I journal like I am talking to the boys. But then when it is all of us together and explain what we were doing or where we went I get confused on how to word things! What pov to scrap from. My pages are all going to be so random. But Im not perfect... my pages never will be either... no matter how much I want them to be so I just go with it lol.

Hahaha, did you read my thread in our other CT forum, Crystal? I realize my POV changes too! It depends on what I'm feeling at the time. Most of the time though, I automatically assume my page will be seen by strangers or people who don't really know me, so it's often as if I am introducing my story/people in my pages.

And I can't tell you how many times I've done a page and then realize I've freaking forgot to factor in WHERE to put the journaling. Ak. I do love journaling prompts (seen a few of them on the SSD challenges) that ask you to write from the POV of someone/someTHING else. Makes for an interesting exercise, lol.

This is me too. I'm so tempted to just put the who and when, sometimes the what or where and call it good. But I'm really trying to focus more on the story aspect of the photo/page. A lot of them I do from my POV, but I enjoy the ones from other perspectives as well.

I have a lot of stories that don't have coordinating photos - especially when it's a page about me, because I don't have a lot of pictures of myself. But I struggle with photoless pages a lot, so for me it's creating a nice page that tells my story without photos!

I have some pictures of myself but I have to scan them all in... mostly from when I was younger through high school. Now I am not in a lot of pictures because I am the one taking pictures. But I really like making photoless pages. The Grow With Love templates are helpful with photoless pages too... just fill in the photo parts with paper or elements. I think I like them because I get to really pile on the elements It's funny because a lot of my Grow With Love pages are photoless! Especially the Marriage Edition ones.
