I’ve had it on my heart for a long (long) time to develop some kind of classes rooted in storytelling. And by “classes” I don’t mean courses of the “feel like you’re going to school under the glare of obnoxious school-lighting” variety or of the “teacher from Peanuts who speaks in the monotone drone of ‘wah-wah-wha-wha-wa'” variety. But of the rooted-in-inspiration variety, the touches-my-life variety, the fun-and-energetic variety, the tips-and-tools variety, the tell-it-your-way variety, the we-learn-from-each-other variety, and most importantly of the story-centric variety.
I believe we all have a story to tell. And I believe that when we tell it…for ourselves, for our families, for our loved ones…something beautiful happens. I believe we live better.
And I think sometimes we underestimate the power of our own stories. Sometimes we feel boring. We feel inhibited. We feel stuck. We feel uncreative. Or unoriginal. Sometimes we think what we have to say doesn’t matter. Sometimes we feel like we don’t know how to say what lives in our hearts. Sometimes we don’t feel inspired to speak. Sometimes we feel our words are not meaningful. Sometimes we feel too busy. And so sometimes we stay quiet. We don’t speak. We don’t share our stories.
My hope is that the classes offered here will help scrapbookers and storytellers feel inspired and encouraged to speak, to document their lives, and to share their stories in a more meaningful way. My hope is for you to find your authentic voice, build confidence in storytelling, and plant your story.
Any projects I offer will be in an “enhanced” self-paced format so that you can access materials and inspiration and embark on your storytelling journey at your own pace. Each project will include detailed course materials including inspiration, storytelling prompts, tips and tutorials, full color .pdf instructions, page design templates, and access to a private forum and private gallery. Registrants will have permanent access to the course materials and instructions and the forum and gallery.
