It’s September.  And I’m still shocked that’s so.  So when I say that, I’m saying it with an extra emphasis of disbelief, “It’s Sep.tem.ber.”  Feel free to add (!!!!!!!) for added effect.  You could also slowly shake your head.  Or raise your eyebrows as high as they’ll go.

But it’s true.  And despite my lamenting over just how quickly time passes every month, the start of each month does make me oh so happy because that means it’s BYOC time at The Lilypad.  And this month, we’ve revived the classic school-y palette and spirit of 2011’s Wicked Smart collaboration.  The result is a fabulous collection of academic inspired goodies that will perfectly suit any school-y story.  And yet the range and depth of the offerings bring versatility to them so they can be used for everyday stories too.  It’s an amazing collection that makes me want to scrap, scrap, scrap. Happy June!!!  And I can’t actually believe that I just said “Happy June!”.  Time flies ever faster.  But here we are and it’s sunny and bright and all the typical trappings of summer (Heat, Crazy Heat, and More Heat) have landed.  In fact, as I type the temperature gauge reads 112°.

And with all the sunny and summery comes another fabulous BYOC at The Lilypad.  It’s full of bright and happy colors and fun energy.

And it’s the bright and happy and summery that inspired these fresh products.

I just loved getting crafty with my punches and paper and baker’s twine to create these hand-crafted paper punched pennant-y and twine-y banner trims.  Meet Garland: (more…)

{fresh seeds} Petals and Dahlia

It’s that time of year for many of us when Spring is firmly here and we’re beginning to see glimpes of Summer.  It’s very nearly {inter} National Scrapbooking Day so there is just this warm and buzzy energy throughout the community.  And it’s time for a Fresh BYOC.  And it is fan…wait for it…tastic.  It makes me want to scrap.  And I so hope you like it!!

I was inspired by that sunny, happy, crafty feeling that just oozes from it when I decided to continue my love affair with tissue paper.  Meet Petals.

The Petals collection is a colorful, happy, and paper-y collection of 15 different hand-crafted layered paper borders/mats. There are monochromatic, two-toned and multi-colored borders and mats. No two are the same and none are re-colored.  You can use them in combination or alone to dress up your pages and projects with an extra touch of hand-crafted whimy.

Use them as big borders, build mats, use them as accents to create interest on your pages, frame photos.  There are really so many creative possibilities for scrapping with these and  I really think you’ll have fun playing with them!  The colors are versatile enough to coordinate with most any page but they also work so beautifully and seamlessly with the May 2012 BYOC collection at The Lilypad.

I have LOVED and felt SO inspired by every page I’ve seen created with these.  It really makes my heart so happy!

Also fresh for the BYOC is Dahlia.  I was inspired by a few customer comments to create these fun and simple templates.  Which are created with the hope that they will help you easily build cohesive and customized cards for your Project Life documenting or in the creation of any card or page.

Dahlia is a collection of 20 different 4×6 templates are designed in the spirit of the every day, of fun, sunshine, summer and play..with simple photo centric compositions that can be used alone or as foundations for your pages, or for creating a cohesive and customized look for your project life pages and project scrapping. Happy September!!  This year is determined to fly by at speeds that leave me reeling and hoping for a moment to breathe and pause so I can catch up with life and tasks and mountains of things I want to pour myself in to, but instead of making another “how did we get here so fast?!” declaration I am welcoming September with arms open w i d e because I’ve been told this is the month that the heat starts to wane..the month when I won’t feel like I’m baking myself when I step outside.  And I’m in the mood to give September a big fat hug because it is the month where things slow down a bit and normalcy sets in, I can just feel it.  We are settling in to the routine of the school year, the weather is settling, everyone is healthy (thank goodness) and good things are on the horizon.

I hope that as summer wanes and as the school year begins for many of us that you are finding September a welcome sight as well…full of hope and promise and warm.  And a fresh (amazing) BYOC at The Lilypad.

The Warm is most certainly upon us here in the desert Southwest and it won’t be long before The Warm melts into The Hot and then into The Oven Hot From Which There Is No Escape….and so I am happily soaking up the warm rays and enjoying the sunshine and blue skies before I feel compelled to lock myself in my house just so as to get some relief from it.  LOL!

And it is that happy kind of sunshiney mood and warm that has inspired Liatris and Liatris {story seeds}, my contributions to this month’s (amazing) BYOC at The Lilypad.
