I’m so very happy to share this week’s release..a fresh collaboration with Crystal Livesay of Live Your Stories.  We were inspired by all things sunny and happy and fun to bring you this series of templates that feature one of scrapbooking’s most classic and loved page elements: banners.  And we so hope you like them!!

Meet Bannered:

{fresh seeds} Coreopsis, Coneflower and Garland

Happy June!!!  And I can’t actually believe that I just said “Happy June!”.  Time flies ever faster.  But here we are and it’s sunny and bright and all the typical trappings of summer (Heat, Crazy Heat, and More Heat) have landed.  In fact, as I type the temperature gauge reads 112°.

And with all the sunny and summery comes another fabulous BYOC at The Lilypad.  It’s full of bright and happy colors and fun energy.

And it’s the bright and happy and summery that inspired these fresh products.

I just loved getting crafty with my punches and paper and baker’s twine to create these hand-crafted paper punched pennant-y and twine-y banner trims.  Meet Garland: (more…)

{fresh seeds} Olive Tree

“Hope is a good thing.  Maybe the best of things.  And no good thing ever dies.”

That’s one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite films, The Shawshank Redemption which is an adaptation of one of the greatest pieces of storytelling ever penned (in my humble opinion) Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King.

I think I’m so drawn to this story because of it’s strong and impactful theme of Hope.  It’s one that resonates with me as it echoes one of my personal truths and strongest held beliefs: Hope is the single greatest asset a person can have.

There is a special kind of power in hope. The kind of quiet, steady, power that lives in perseverance, in faithfulness, in sunny days after cloudy ones, and in joyfulness.

And it’s the stories of hope, springing fresh that have inspired Olive Tree. Olive Tree was first made available to subscribers of the My Scrapbook Art newsletter during my feature there in March 2012 and I’ve now I’ve revamped it a bit and brought it home to The Lilypad.

Meet Olive Tree:

Olive Tree is a full digital kit inspired by these stories of fresh hope and finding joys and it is my hope that it will inspire you to document your own story of hopefulness, of wishing, or of joy. Whether you are documenting these days and stories for your child(ren) or for yourself (and please do!), Olive Tree features hand-crafted crafty goodness with a heart for the hopeful story. And it is versatile enough to help you tell any story, for any age and any gender.

I just love the fabulous inspiration created with Olive Tree.  The pages created are just.so.pretty.

And Olive Tree  is available in my shoppe for 50% off as part of The Lilypad’s Something Old, Something New this week!  Which means you can snag it for 50% off today — Wednesday 30 May — only.

As always I looove to see your stories and art too, so please feel free to share with me anytime.  Really!  Just shoot me a mail or share them on my facebook page.  And if you haven’t signed up the newsletter yet you may want to do that so you can be the first to hear the latest news and get the latest exclusive savings.

{i} NSD 2012 :: Gobs of Goodies

Happy {inter}National Scrapbooking Day!!

It’s that fabulously frenzied and full and creative and bustling and inspiring time of year — where we hop and bop around, shopping and scrapping and having fun far and wide across the scrapbooking community!  And I so hope you’re enjoying every minute!!

There are gobs of goodies and lots of news to share today so I’ll dive right in!!

First of all, there is TONS of fun to be had in the forums at The Lilypad this weekend from challenges to giveaways to chats and scraps.  And I’m already feeling so inspired by the warmth in the forums and the deluge of inspiration already hitting the gallery.  So hope you’ll pop in and enjoy some of the fun with us!

And of course there is the annual 30% off storewide sale!  And the store is positively overflowing with gorgeous new products including a beautiful Free With Purchase kit for this weekend!

On top of the fabulous fresh BYOC, released yesterday, I have three fresh releases for today as well!

Meet the latest installments from Papyrus:  Papyrus {April} and Papyrus {May}.

The Papyrus collection is part of my fresh adventure in storytelling called “putting pen to paper“. It is a series of templates and journaling prompts rooted in encouraging myself and other scrapbookers and storytellers to “just press record” and document our days.

The {April} installment is inspired by the bridging of Yesterday and Today and encourages us to document Then and Now.

The {May} installment is inspired by the “stuff” — the artifacts — in our lives. We will explore documenting what our “things” tell us about ourselves and how they define our stories.

And still, as ever, these templates can be used apart from the prompts to tell any story and scrap any page tailored to your own scrapping needs and style.

Each set includes 4 page designs AND 4 prompts plus additional .pdf content to inspire and encourage you to tell your stories.

Here’s some beautiful inspiration from my Storytellers and the Pollys:

Papyrus {April} and Papyrus {May} are available for 30% off through Monday 7 May.

And then there is this.

Two years ago, NSD marked my designing debut and I celebrated with the support and cooperation of my dear friend Crystal as we released a special template-only grab bag together.  Last year, we thought it would be fun to revisit the grab baggy spirit and fun and now it’s become kind of a tradition for us.  So I’m happy to present the 3rd Annual {i}NSD Grab Bag collaboration from Zinnias and Swallowtails and Crystal Livesay. This is a versatile set of 8 layered templates inspired by layers and a play with paper.

And this fabulous grab bag is available this weekend only for only $3 (regular price is $9)!  You can grab these savings through Monday 7 May.

And here it is in action:

And what would {i} NSD be without a little extra extra, right?  So be sure you check the blog for a freebie tomorrow as part of the DSA blog hop and my facebook page for a free download as part of the Lilypad facebook blog hop!

As always I looove to see your stories and art too, so please feel free to share with me anytime.  Just shoot me a mail or share them on my facebook page.  And if you haven’t signed up  the newsletter yet you may want to do that so you can be the first to hear the latest news and get the latest exclusive savings.

Here’s to a very happy scrappy weekend!!  Hope it’s beautiful!!

{fresh seeds} Petals and Dahlia

It’s that time of year for many of us when Spring is firmly here and we’re beginning to see glimpes of Summer.  It’s very nearly {inter} National Scrapbooking Day so there is just this warm and buzzy energy throughout the community.  And it’s time for a Fresh BYOC.  And it is fan…wait for it…tastic.  It makes me want to scrap.  And I so hope you like it!!

I was inspired by that sunny, happy, crafty feeling that just oozes from it when I decided to continue my love affair with tissue paper.  Meet Petals.

The Petals collection is a colorful, happy, and paper-y collection of 15 different hand-crafted layered paper borders/mats. There are monochromatic, two-toned and multi-colored borders and mats. No two are the same and none are re-colored.  You can use them in combination or alone to dress up your pages and projects with an extra touch of hand-crafted whimy.

Use them as big borders, build mats, use them as accents to create interest on your pages, frame photos.  There are really so many creative possibilities for scrapping with these and  I really think you’ll have fun playing with them!  The colors are versatile enough to coordinate with most any page but they also work so beautifully and seamlessly with the May 2012 BYOC collection at The Lilypad.

I have LOVED and felt SO inspired by every page I’ve seen created with these.  It really makes my heart so happy!

WOW.  Right?!

Also fresh for the BYOC is Dahlia.  I was inspired by a few customer comments to create these fun and simple templates.  Which are created with the hope that they will help you easily build cohesive and customized cards for your Project Life documenting or in the creation of any card or page.

Dahlia is a collection of 20 different 4×6 templates are designed in the spirit of the every day, of fun, sunshine, summer and play..with simple photo centric compositions that can be used alone or as foundations for your pages, or for creating a cohesive and customized look for your project life pages and project scrapping. Can even be used for creating hybrid cards in your blogging.

Both the Petals and Dahlia are available in my shoppe for 30% off as part of The Lilypad’s {i}NSD celebrations this weekend!  You can snag them for 30% off through Monday 7 2012.

Here’s to a beautiful start to a fabulously Happy Scrappy weekend!!

Document Your December

So, I was just waxing poetically about my aspirations for documenting my own December this year and it’s that hope for embracing the moment, the details, the imperfections and the storyMaking that inspired the creation of this week’s fresh release: Pear Tree {the album}.  It is a project that has been in the works for many days and weeks now and that the ever-so-considerate Sick derailed from my hoped-for timeline.  But it’s here.  And I’m really excited about it.  And I hope that you’ll find it’s FULLness and it’s classic and versatile pieces a wonderful stand alone project or supplement to any December storytelling project you are embarking upon this year.

It was created with a heart for giving you options, for creating the kind of pages and/or album that fits the story you will create and document this year.  It is a project full of possibilities and one that lets you embrace your own creative directions while getting to the heart of what matters most to you this time of year: the details.  I really believe that magic lives in the details.

It’s BIG and it’s versatile. It’s full of pages of various sizes, from simple to more layer-y. All with the hope of helping you easily document your December.

Meet Pear Tree {the album}:

This layered template album can be used in whole or in part, for digital or hybrid scrapping of your December stories. Includes templates in varied styles and sizes so you can pick your favorite size or mix and match to create a mixed media kind of album.

Every template design is unique while still carrying a cohesive look for an overall album and classic enough to be able to mesh well with any other projects. They are meant to be built upon with your own style and customization and can be used with any products. You can also re-use any of the design pages throughout the album, flipping and modifying to make them your own and to suit your scrapping or album needs and style.

You can mix and match the sizes with each other, you can mix and match the background paper pieces, the photo spot design layers, the overlays or trims here and there to make this album completely your own. Or you can use it in a straight-forward way too. Have fun playing with all the components to create what suits your story best!

The album contents include:

* 25 12×12 layered templates (in .psd + .tiff formats). These can be used as is or easily sized down to suit whatever album size you may be after (I’m going 8×8!)

* 15 6×8 layered templates (in .psd + .tiff formats). These can be used alone or as a supplement to the larger pages or any other pages you may be creating this holiday season.

* 10 5×7 layered templates (in .psd + .tiff formats). These too can be used alone as a mini album or as a supplement to the larger page sizes or any other pages you may be creating this holiday season.

Pear Tree also includes some additional album designing goodies:

* 10 BIG word transparency overlays (made to fit 6×8 pages or photos but can be resized to suit your needs) sentiments include: Bright, Family, Favorite, Happy, Holiday, Joy, Laugh, Love, Merry, Tradition, Tree, Wish

* 10 transparency overlays in various sizes (5×7, 6×8, 12×12) which can be used to overlay papers or photos or printed on transparencies. Patterns are classic and versatile.

* BIG number transparency overlays for the entire month (December 1 – 31)

* 12 simple frames for photos or paper/journaling spaces in various sizes (2×2 instagram size, 3×3, 5×7, 6×8, and 12×12)

* 12 word stamps for stamping photos or papers. Sentiments include: Advent, Anticipation, Deck the Halls, Fa la la, Giving, Laughter, Magic, Memories, Merry, Noel, Tradition, Twinkle

* 17 clippable trims for clipping papers or photos (in .png format and sized BIG for easy resizing)

All the transparency overlays can be used to create actual printed transparencies for hybrid or traditional paper scrapping projects or they can be used digitally in a variety of ways.

The pages and the extras are created with a heart for Documenting YOUR December. And I so hope you have fun with them!

In total, when all is said and done this is a collection of 50 templates and oodles of extra details and tools.  I can’t wait to use it myself and share the process with you!

I hope you find Pear Tree a lot of fun to work with and make your own!  And something that will help you document your stories with a boost of ease and time!

Pear Tree {the album} is available for $10 (and only $8 through Sunday 4 December!) at The Lilypad

In other news, and something that is equally special to me…this week marks the release of the final installment of the Grow With Love: Letters project.

This is Grow With Love: Letters Edition {December}:

The {December} installment is inspired by the holiday season and by the close of another year. We explore sentimental, silly and more traditional takes on documenting our stories of “reflection”, tradition, and holiday in encouraging journaling prompts.

And here’s a spot of GWL inspiration {so gorgeous}:

Pear Tree {the album} and Grow With Love: Letters Edition {December} are available in my shoppe at The Lilypad through Monday 5 September for 20% off through Sunday 4 December!
