Welcome to Plant Your Story! My hope for Plant Your Story is to foster a warm, friendly, and genuine field of inspiration, encouragement and fun for storytellers and scrapbookers who want to learn and grow and share in storytelling together.
I encourage you to share resources and ideas, ask questions, have fun and form relationships with others who have a love for documenting their own stories. My wish is that along the way, we can encourage and mentor one another.
Because storytelling and memory keeping is by nature a very personal pursuit, I ask that you conduct yourself with respect and consideration for others. Vulgar, hateful, or obscene speech will not be tolerated. I hope that everyone can settle here in a warm and cozy, fun and friendly, helpful and sincere way.
With regard to gallery posting, while Plant Your Story is home to my personal designs (Zinnias and Swallowtails) and the Grow With Love project with Crystal Livesay and while I hope for the gallery to be a showcase of the beautiful pages anyone has created with my products or for anyone who has used the Grow With Love journaling prompts, I have a deeper hope for the gallery, too.
Anyone who hopes to share their stories is welcome to post them here, even if they are not made with my products or prompts. I encourage you to credit properly and link to products if you so choose, so that others can find the components of your page creation. That said, this gallery (and forum) is not meant to be a place for advertising, but rather of inspiration and storytelling. It is, if you will, a storytellers' gallery. I hope it will develop into a home of story-centric images for those seeking storytelling inspiration.
There are other homes with wide open policies regarding advertising and creative team posting, in galleries and forums. I respectfully ask that Plant Your Story be protected from such postings so that we can all sincerely share and connect in our love for telling our personal stories.
If, as the site evolves, I feel I need to adapt these guidelines to better fit the needs of the community, I will do so. In the meantime, I so hope you enjoy spending time at Plant Your Story, learning and growing and telling stories together!
Thank you kindly! Sara
